How to Maintain your Tile
Tile and Grout Maintenance
Pick up spills immediately. When mopping the tile floor, use Ph balanced floor cleaner. Look for it at your local janitorial supply. Do not use swiffers, or sponge mops on floor as they tend to make the grout dirty by pushing dirt into the grout joints. Use String Mop with bucket ringer. (Cold water not hot) Change water frequently to ensure clean water is being used to mop floor. Pick up excess water with mop when complete Every couple months use a grout brush on a stick to remove Any build up in grout joints. Do this while mopping floor. Lightly brush grout joints and pick up dirty water with mop.

Marble Maintenance
Dust mop daily or less depending on foot traffic. Pick up spills immediately. For mopping use a ph balance stone cleaner made specifically for marble or other natural stone. Use a string mop with a bucket and wringer. (Cold water not hot) Change water frequently to ensure clean water is being used to mop floor. Every couple of months or so depending on foot traffic use a grout brush on a stick to brush grout joints out while mopping. Pick up all excess water when complete with mop. Sealing should be performed once a year to ensure protection.

Do not use general-purpose cleaners or you may damage your stone or the sealer applied. Do not use products that contain lemon, vinegar or other acids as these may etch the stone surface and damage the polish. Do not use scouring powders or pads these products contain abrasives that may scratch the surface. Always use coasters under glass, especially if they contain alcohol or citrus juice. Use mats under hot dishes or cookware. Us place mats under china, ceramics, silver or other objects that may scratch your stone’s surface. Place a small rug or mat at entryways to trap dirt and sand from normal foot traffic. Dust countertops, islands, vanities and floors frequently. Clean all stone surfaces with a neutral ph stone cleaner and clean water. Blot up spills immediately.

Polished Concrete Maintenance
Dust mop on a regular basis depending on foot traffic. Pick up spills immediately. When mopping use a ph balanced polished concrete cleaner. Use a string mop with bucket wringer. (Cold water no hot) Change water frequently to ensure clean water is being used to mop floor. If large areas of polished concrete need to be cleaned use an auto scrubber and a ph balanced polished concrete cleaner.

Sealing Your Stone
Natural stone has been formed over millions of years but improper care can ruin nature’s beauty. Although we usually think of stone as “hard” it is a porous material that can absorb spills and stain if left untreated. Sealing you stone with quality impregnating sealer will prevent most spills from damaging your stone. Sealing should be done every 12 month to ensure protection. .
